Mary Keepers

Mary Keepers is thrilled to be joining the TCCAN family! After singing Cabaret music her entire life, it's wonderful to find a group of talented artists who really “get it.”
Mary has worked extensively as a professional singer, actor, director, and theater educator throughout the Midwest. Local stage credits include Nautilus Music-Theatre, Open Eye Figure Theatre, The Children's Theatre Company, Ordway Center, New Classic Theater, North Star Opera (Skylark Opera), Illusion Theater, Actor’s Theatre of Minnesota, and the MN Fringe Festival. Mary’s one-woman show "Keepers’ Cabaret" has been booked by countless clubs and organizations. She’s also produced the show in concert at Hennepin Center for the Arts, various Church Music Series, Bryant-Lake Bowl Cabaret Theater, The Loring Playhouse, and MN Fringe Festival. Mary's debut CD “Listen Here” was released in 2003. Check it out at www.marykeepers.com
As a Director and Teaching Artist, Ms. Keepers was founder and artistic director of The Mayflower Theatre Project from 1992 to 1996, a successful south Minneapolis theatre arts program for all ages. Mary was theatre director at Richfield High School for 11 seasons where she directed over 20 shows and created an after-school theatre arts enrichment workshop. She has also directed and/or taught at The Children's Theatre Co., Youth Performance Company, Steppingstone Theatre, Stages Theatre Co., and The Chicago Avenue Project at Pillsbury House Theater. Mary continues to teach acting to adults and is a Teaching Artist for Illusion Theater in Minneapolis.
